What To Expect During Your Indian Head Massage

To Call It An Indian Head Massage Is Misleading! It starts as a seated massage where we work your upper back, then move onto your arms, shoulders and then neck ie every part that supports the head. We then start a really soothing yet invigorating scalp massage.

When you have really relaxed into this we invite you to lie on our therapy bed where we continue by massaging the front of the neck and your face.

The facial massage also incorporates lymphatic drainage which is very effective in clearing the sinuses. The massage also naturally rejuvenates the skin, helping to plump it and stimulate collagen and elastin production.

Some Acupressure is also performed during your Indian Head Massage. This is a traditional Chinese technique that puts pressure on key trigger points of the scalp and face, to clear blockages in these areas. This has a cleansing effect and helps to galvanize and regenerate your energy.

Indian Head Massage

An Indian Head Massage is so soothing!  Can you do it yourself? Or are you fortunate enough to know someone who can do it for you.

Perhaps it’s your favourite part of visiting the hairdressers but you wish it could last a bit longer? Secret Garden Indian Head Massage treatment lasts for a full 45 minutes. It's good for stimulating the scalp, promoting hair growth and good health.

Doesn’t all of this sound absolutely wonderful? The only disappointing thing is that your Indian Head Massage lasts for 45 minutes!

At Secret Garden we only use Neal's Yard natural  and organic massage oils, which hare tailored and chosen specifically for you.

After your massage you will be encouraged to drink a lot of water to ensure that your body continues to flush out the toxins that the massage has released from your body. You should also try to keep the massage oil on as long as possible as they are nourishing the skin.

As part of your consultation, you should let the therapist know the kind of pressure that you like and continue to do so throughout the treatment.  If you are experiencing too much pressure or would like a little more. This is your session, it is important that you enjoy it! To book CLICK HERE.
The History Of Indian Head Massage

An Indian Head Massage is an ancient therapy. Even to this day you can see it being practiced all over India. Furthermore, it is not unusual to see a grandmother, mother and daughter sitting together practicing this.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

Rating – Excellent. 10/10. Lovely relaxing setting for the treatments! Immediately felt at ease. The Secret Garden is the biggest secret to my life & health, that no medical intervention has been able to alleviate so far. Favourite therapy is Reiki & Access Bars for old injuries (car accident) to my spinal cord, neck, head & ears. Reiki relieves me of tension & pressure build up from spine inflammation. Nicky is knowledgeable & sympathetic to my needs, suggesting further treatments.
